I think it’s quite a good theme for a slot, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s worth playing. In terms of the slot design, it’s fairly basic and not quite as grand as I would have hoped for based on Ascot. The graphics are mediocre and there’s not much going on to get you excited which is a shame. Move on, there are 5 reels with 3 rows, offering 25 paylines in total. Conclusion
Ascot slot from Playtech is clearly based on the popular sporting event which I thought was a good concept. However, I’m a bit disappointed that Playtech didn’t do more with this theme. The Wild symbols work quite well and I like how there are 3 of them based on the different trophies, but the Free Spins Bonus could be more engaging, rather than just offering more Wild symbols throughout. I think some sticky Wilds here would have been a nice touch and really helped to improve payouts because currently they just aren’t that great. It’s good to see some Jackpots available here though for a nice instant cash reward that can be triggered on any spin. To summarize, I just don’t find Ascot slot that exciting or especially rewarding and those 2 things are what make a good slot.
