Black Knight Slot

  • The hugely popular bookies slot is now online
  • Created by WMS way back in 2011, and still popular today!
  • Wilds act as bonus symbols for more feature entries

The Black Knight slot is a Williams Interactive (WMS) title from 2011, and it’s a classic slot game without many modern features which will of course appeal to the players who like the classic slots. The Black Knight slot is a good game as it has a decent payout, and it pays well during base game. It’s popularity is still very strong on the bookies fixed odds betting terminals, and it has taken it’s popularity with it to the online casinos where a higher percentage game can be played.
The free spins on the Black Knight slot aren’t anything special, but experienced players might appreciate the fact that Black Knight pays well during the base game.

The Black Knight slot has 30 paylines but you can choose to bet only one line, making this a penny slot. The minimum bet per line is £0.01 and the maximum to cover all 30 paylines is £0.30. You increase the bet per line in 0.01 increments so it will take a while to increase the bet to the maximum of £5 per line, though you can click and hold the plus sign and it will move faster. Maximum bet per spin is £150 online and the usual £2 in the bookies.
Graphics should be better but apparently there was little ambition to move beyond the scope of classic slot games. Still, the resolution in which certain symbols were drawn is just bad, and it feels as if the game was made a decade earlier than it actually was. There is only one nice animation in the entire game, and it happens when the Wild symbol expands on the reel.

Black Knight Slot Bonus Round

When you get three Scatters anywhere on your reels on the Black Knight slot, you’ll enter the free spins game and will get exactly 7 free spins, and they are just that; free spins. There are no multipliers, increased chance of winning, or anything like that, you will just get 7 free spins that behave almost the same as the spins during the base game. There is one bonus feature here, the Wild will expand to fill the reel and will stay there for the duration of the free spins game.
Interestingly, Wild is wild for all symbols including Scatter which is rare among slots. This greatly increases the chance of triggering the free spins game, however, the Scatter (or Wild) symbols must be adjacent to each other in order to trigger the bonus. Wild appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4. Scatter is the best-paying symbol in the game, giving 500x for five-of-a-kind. King, Queen and Jester are the other three high-paying symbols, and there are five more symbols in the Black Knight slot, all with nice artwork.

Theoretical return to player (RTP) is 96.07% online and that’s good enough for a slot game of this type, and all the available wins are right there in front of the player, nothing is hidden in progressive jackpots, impossible winning combinations or bonus games which can’t be reached.  Experienced players will know how to appreciate that. This game has a decent and loyal following, so it’s worth trying out.
