Chicken Fox slot provides some fairly unique gameplay and certainly has the potential to pay out with 13,500x your bet available with the right symbols. It’s a pretty high variance game, and in our experience we certainly had some frustrations with not getting a decent win for a long time. But that doesn’t necessarily make a bad slot, so let’s have a look in more detail.
Firstly, there’s the design. Now Lightning Box don’t tend to go too crazy with graphics and overall appearance, instead focusing on some more original gameplay with good payouts. That’s fine by me, and they’ve done the same thing here. While the graphics aren’t great though, it’s quite a fun and pleasant-looking theme and I like it. To get going, you need to start by spinning the reels to try and get a win from left to right using the base symbols which can give you a cash reward. These base symbols are as follows, ranked in ascending order based on their value:
- 10, Jack or Queen or a kind (lowest value)
- Ace or King of a kind
- One of the 4 stages of a chicken, mixed
- Goat
- Pig
- Tractor (highest value)
Don’t worry, Chicken Fox slot also has a wild symbol known as the Wild Lady who, as you probably guessed, substitutes for all other symbols in a winning combination apart from the Bonus symbol. Furthermore, she’s also the most valuable symbol in the game and by a fair margin too! It also has another wild symbol in fact known as the Wild Fox. This one is a bit different though as it only substitutes for all of the chicken symbols. It can appear as a single wild or as a wild with a multiplier of x2 associated to it, but will only appear during the Free Spins Bonus.
Slot Bonuses and Features
Free Spins Bonus. This is, of course, triggered by 3 or more Bonus symbols at any point during the base game (they do not appear during the Free Spins Bonus itself). They work like a Scatter symbol so can appear in any position, with 3 of them giving you 8 free spins, 4 giving you 15 and 5 giving you the maximum 30. Seems a bit unfair that 4 doesn’t give you 16 free spins and 5 32, but there you go.
During the Bonus, the Wild Fox symbol will catch chickens to give you some extra rewards. It can also catch some White Egg symbols to give you some extra free games, a double wild giving you double the amount of free spins. If a Wild Fox doesn’t have an Chicken or Egg, then it will give you a single free game, or 2 free games if the Wild Fox is doubled.
Conclusion
Chicken Fox slot from Lightning Box definitely takes a more unusual approach to providing valuable features. On the one hand, I really like that they’ve done something new, and it’s a pretty fun design too. The problem is, I’m just not a fan of how it actually works. The one thing people want from a slot is the ability to win some good money, and I don’t think this one is the best choice for that. The focus is obviously on the Free Spins Bonus, and while I like the fact that the reels only have high-value symbols and wilds with potential multipliers, it just doesn’t seem to pay out that well. You can win quite a few free spins though with the Wild Fox and White Egg symbols so there’s that. All in all, I have to say that I’m not a huge fan, but perhaps that’s just me and what I enjoy.
