Circus of Horror slot is a new game from GameArt that takes things to the extreme. This slot has one of the most drastic themes we’ve seen with some gory designs and features. We’ve seen other Horror slots like House Of Doom slot before, especially around Halloween time, but this one takes things a step further as you’ll soon see.
It’s actually quite a well-designed game with pretty good graphics. You have a simple 5×3 set of reels with 243 ways to win. You just need to get a winning combination from left to right using the base symbols which will give you a cash reward. These are as follows, ranked in ascending order based on their value:
- Jack, Queen or King (lowest value)
- Ace
- Zombie
- Chainsaw Man
- Devil
- Nurse (highest value)
While these symbols will all pay you a cash reward, there are other symbols in Circus of Horror slot you should know about. Firstly, there’s the Wild symbol shown as a scary clown. This will substitute for all other symbols in a winning combination apart from the Bonus and Scatter symbols. The Bonus symbol, shown as a vampire, is used to trigger the Electric Chair Bonus Game. It appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4. Finally, the Scatter symbol is shown as a creepy lady who can give you free spins when the symbols appear on reels 3, 4 or 5, as well as paying out a bit on its own.

Sticky Wilds. During the base game, knives can be thrown randomly at the Wild symbols, causing them to stick in place.
Free Spins Bonus. Unusually, this isn’t the main feature of the game. As I mentioned, it’s triggered by 3 or more Scatter symbols appearing at the same time on the reels. If 3 of them appear, you’ll get 8 free spins, 4 will give you 12 free spins and finally, 5 will offer you 15 free spins. Furthermore, all spins during the Bonus have a multiplier of 3 associated with them meaning rewards can be significantly better. You can also retrigger the Bonus by landing more Scatter symbols.
Electric Chair Bonus. This is a more original Bonus that’s pretty fun too, albeit quite disgusting. Once triggered, you must pick from 9 body parts that you want to electrocute. Guess right and you can choose another body part. This will continue until a body part fails to execute. If you get 8 body parts right in a row then you’ll be awarded 2x your total win. This Bonus can only be triggered during the base game.
Bloody Wild. This is a feature that’s only available during the Free Spins Bonus. Blood will randomly drip onto the 3rd reel and that reel will then transform into a stack of Wild symbols. Wins are paid again at the end of the transformation.
Gamble. You have the option to gamble any wins by pressing the gamble button. Simply choose the right red or black card and you can double (or lose) your win. This can be done up to 5 times, and you can also disable the feature if you choose.
Conclusion
Circus of Horror slot from GameArt is by far the most gory game we’ve ever played. I’m not sure the theme will be for everyone, but at least it’s quite original and I’m sure some will certainly find it entertaining, although I’m not entirely sure. The features make good use of the theme, with things like throwing knives to stick Wilds on the reels, and choosing body parts to get bigger wins (although this does seem a little random). In terms of payouts, they’re decent but not exceptional and you can find better elsewhere. So really it comes down to whether you find the game fun and I think that will vary.
