Spinomenal have released a new game called Cupids’ Strike slot and as you might have guessed, this is a theme all about love. It’s a strange time of the year to release a slot like this which is clearly related to Valentines Day, but it’s a welcome change from many of the more common themes that we keep on seeing.
Cupid’s Strike slot as a whole looks really good. The colours are bright and punchy, the graphics are spot on and the design is impressive while still relatively simple. Overall top marks for me here. The reel layout is pretty basic here being just 5×3 with 20 paylines, but the RTP is a decent 97.19%. The play the game is like any other. You just need to spin the reels to get a winning combination from left to right using the base symbols. A win can come in the form of either a cash reward or a feature which I will discuss shortly. The base symbols are listed as follows, ranked in ascending order based on their value:

Cupids’ Strike Slot Bonuses and Features
There are additional symbols in Cupids’ Strike slot that have special properties. One of these is, of course, the Wild symbol, shown as either Cupid, the Man or the Woman. These pay out 200x your bet when in a winning combination of 5, but nothing less than that. Additionally, they substitute for all other symbols in a winning combination apart from the Free Spins symbol or the Bonus symbol. They also play a part in the Free Spins Bonus, as I’ll discuss shortly.
Lucky In Love Mode. This is a pretty cool in-game feature that is triggered after 5 consecutive non-winning spins and lasts for 10 spins. Essentially this mode adds more Wild symbols to the game by turning the Man and Woman symbol into Wilds, but it also removed the Bonus and Free Spins symbols from play. Additionally, you can also land a +1 spin symbol which will grant you another spin in the Lucky In Love Mode. You can track how many spins have been lost by looking at the heart status on the screen.
Free Spins Bonus. This is triggered by 3 or more Scattered Free Spins symbols and will give you 20 free spins along with a 2x multiplier. During the free spins, a respins feature is available. Any new winning combination during the free spins will lock all winning combinations in place, removing all other symbols from the game and replacing them with new ones that complete or add to a winning bet line. The game will then respin and this will continue until no more wins occur. It’s worth noting that payouts are only for the last respin of the feature.
Bonus Game. This is triggered by 3 or more Scatter Bonus symbols. You will be given a selection of boxes to choose from and must look for the Win All icon to win, whereas the Game Over icon will end the bonus.
Conclusion
Cupids’ Strike is a new game from Spinomenal that seems to have been released at the wrong time. This is clearly a Valentine’s theme but I suppose that’s not really an issue. I have to say that I’m impressed with the way the features tie in nicely with the theme. The Lucky In Love Mode is a really nice feature and is useful for preventing long losing streaks, although a win isn’t guaranteed from it. The Free Spins Bonus is particular good, one of the best we’ve seen in fact, and can provide some pretty nice wins. There really isn’t a lot to dislike about this slot in my opinion; it looks great, has some fun and rewarding features and payouts pretty well.
