Holy Diver slot from Big Time Gaming takes Megaways to the extreme with over half a million ways to win available here, depending on the bonuses mind. There’s a lot of fun to be had here and some big wins available if you’re lucky, but let’s take a closer look and see what’s in store here.
The design is pretty cool and certainly interesting with the animation below the reels. With so many ways to win as well there are lots of positions for symbols, and you also have the shield on the left of the screen which I’ll explain shortly. Holy Diver Slot Bonuses and Features
Chests of Fortune. Opening chests will enhance reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 for the current spin with one of 4 different bonuses:
- Standard Symbol Bonus. This bonus will reveal a low value symbols (between 9 and Ace) which will then be converted into a Wild symbol for the spin.
- Sword Bonus. This bonus is a bit more interesting, adding up to 3 full reel wilds each with a multiplier up to 17x for some big wins.
- Fireball Bonus. This time you’ll add up to 4 flaming wilds, limited to just 1 per reel.
- Gem Symbol Bonus. Here you’ll reveal a gem symbol which is converted into a wild symbol that has a multiplier associated to it based on the level. Level 1 has no multiplier, level 2 has a 2x multiplier and level 3 has a 3x multiplier.
Shield of Fortune. You’ll probably notice the shield on the right of the reels straight away. This is used to collect gems that are revealed from the Chests of Fortune. You can reveal up to 4 chests at once, each a different colour of course. Once all 4 gems have been revealed, you can either level up or collect the 3 spins. If you complete the shield on level 3, the maximum level, free spins will automatically be awarded to you.
Free Spins Bonus. At the start of the bonus, you’ll be given 10 free spins to work with. While these are in play, every gem symbol that appears on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 will turn into a Wild symbol that has a multiplier associated to it. This is, once again, just 1x for level 1, 2x for level 2 and 3x for level 3.
Diamond Retrigger. This is a more unusual bonus based on the theme of Holy Diver slot. During the Free Spins Bonus, the hero character will collect diamonds. The first 4 of these collected will give you an extra spin each, while the 5th diamond should you get it will give you another 8 free spins as well as a retrigger. The retrigger increases the number of base symbols per reel. The first one 4-7 symbols, the second 6-7 symbols and any after that 7 symbols.
Megaways. This slot has Megaways like quite a few others we see but it’s a little different here because of the levels. Each reel has up to 7 symbols, and each spin can have up to 117,649 ways to win on level 1, 396,900 ways to win on level 2 and 586,971 ways to win on level 3. Don’t quote me on this, but I think that’s the most ways to win I’ve ever seen.

Holy Diver slot is a pretty unusual game from Big Time Gaming and one that really goes for that entertainment factor which is frankly what so many developers are missing. There are a bunch of features available here and the adventure one with the hero is a lot of fun too. Not only that but you can mix up the number of ways to win, changing the game up and potentially earning you some nice payouts.
