- Just the one free spins bonus
- Offers multipliers but these aren’t especially valuable
- Leaves a lot to be desired and could have been better
Minted Money slot gives the impression that there’s a lot of money to be won in this game, and Playtech have created some good slots in the past so your hopes might be high, but keep reading to find out if it is as good as it sounds.
First, let’s start with how Minted Money slot looks. It has a fairly basic theme which lacks any real characters and the graphics are mediocre. You have 5 reels here with 3 rows which is all very standard, although there are only 5 paylines which is quite a lot lower than many slots these days. You need to get a winning combination from left to right using the base symbols in order to get a win, or land Scatter symbols for the Bonus. These base symbols are as follows, ranked in ascending order based on their value:
- Clubs or Spades (lowest value)
- Diamonds or Hearts
- Gold (highest value)
In addition to these symbols there are 2 others as well to be aware of. One of these is the Wild symbol, shown as a diamond, which substitutes for all other symbols in a winning combination apart from the Scatter symbol. The Scatter symbol, a 4 leaf clover, is used to trigger the Stamp Spins Feature. You need 2 of these to do this appearing anywhere on the reels. They also have a small value associated to them.

Minted Money Slot Bonuses and Features
Stamp Spins Feature. This is the main Bonus of the game, and in fact it’s the only feature of the game. As I mentioned, you need at least 2 of these symbols on the reels at any time to trigger it, giving you 8 free spins, regardless of whether you land 2 or 3 of them. During each free spin, between 1 and 5 reels will be randomly stamped. These reels pay each symbol on the reel in each position. If you’re fortunate enough to have a Wild symbol on a stamped reel, it will then expand to fill the entire reel. A Scatter symbol on a stamped reel will only pay once for the reel. You can retrigger this feature, but only once which is a bit of a change. However, all spins on the retrigger will be played at a 2x multiplier. This is when you’re more likely to see some bigger wins, but it’s a shame you can’t retrigger the Bonus more often and get bigger multipliers.
Minted Money slot from Playtech is a bit different to your typical slot because of the way to Free Spins Bonus works. It tends to trigger fairly often, needing only 2 Scatter symbols as opposed to the more common 3. I think this is necessary as there are no other features in the game, at all, and it’s not the most valuable Free Spins Bonus we’ve ever seen either. What you’ll be aiming for is that 2x multiplier by retriggering the Bonus, but this doesn’t happen as often as we’d like and I really wish the multiplier was higher. It’s not a very high variance game, but potential big wins could still be a bit higher and I’m not really sure this slot will appeal to many. There’s a lot more they could have done with this Bonus; have it trigger a bit more frequently and have the option to get much bigger multipliers, perhaps with a base game feature or 2 as well. It’s a shame, but perhaps we’ll see something else like this in the future. You can also check out some of their other slots here.
