Ninja Monkey Slot

  • Made specifically for the new fixed odds betting terminals
  • Expanding reels which creep further and further up the new ultra 4k HD monitors!
  • The free spins bonus awards multiple stacked wilds along with expanding reels

The Ninja Monkey slot is the latest game from Inspired Gaming, made specifically for the amazing looking new fixed odds betting terminals. The Ninja Monkey slot has expanding reels and very well designed images that make full use of the ultra 4k monitors. The Ninja Monkey slot uses Japanese style images which appear to be stacked on all five of the reels, including the Ninja Monkey symbol which gives the strong impression that it could roll in a full screen for the £500 jackpot, much like the Rainbow Riches Pots of Gold slot used to do.

As well as the increased stake Fortune Spins, The Ninja Monkey slot can be played at following stakes, each with a different RTP (return to player).

  • 25p with an average payout percentage of 87%
  • 50p with an average payout percentage of 88%
  • £1 with an average payout percentage of 89%
  • £2 with an average payout percentage of 91%

You may have noticed that the gaming percentages have gradually worked their way down over the last couple of years, originally starting at 94%. Ninja Monkey is no exception, which causes problems with low paying features and rare wins. Similar slots online generally pay out at around 96%, with a fixed RTP on any stake.

Ninja Monkey Slot Game Play

Aside from the low RTP’s which are common across the board now on many fixed odds betting terminal machines, the Ninja Monkey slot has just enough going on so as to not clutter it with worthless low paying random features, whilst still keeping the action going with the expanding reels which offer increased chances of hitting the free spins bonus.
The reel symbols are well drawn and very basic. They include fish, trees, daggers, nun-chucks, the Ninja Monkey symbol and a mystery symbol. The mystery symbol is very rare and takes the form of a bright green question mark. When they land on the reels they change to any of the six reel symbols to create a win. Like all of the other symbols on the Ninja Monkey slot, the mystery symbols are stacked, so it is possible to get a full screen of them, which could possibly result in a £500 jackpot.

Aside from the mystery symbols, the base game is pretty boring and unfortunately does not include a gamble option, which some slot players will find disappointing.
The bonus symbols to trigger the free spins are awarded via reels one, three and five only. Two bonus Ninja Monkeys on reels one and three causes the fifth reel to expand, the expanded reel should then in theory increase your chances of hitting the bonus.

The free spins bonus is unique amongst FOBT slots and makes full use of the wide screen. Once triggered, you will be awarded only 8 free spins but the reels expand upwards by two, making five symbols on each reel, increasing the winning potential of any of the base game rewards which remain at the same value. The bonus can be re-triggered, and once again the fifth reel expands by a further two, so during the bonus round you should have a slightly higher chance of a re-trigger.

The Ninja Monkey slot bonus will generally pay very well or very bad. This is in keeping with many Inspired Gaming slots, such as Rise of Anubis, so players should expect some very low valued bonuses along with some that will pay in the hundreds.
During the bonus the reels spin off automatically. Along the bottom of the screen is the Ninja Monkey who will occasionally throw stacks of wilds across the reels, these do not however always result in a win. During my play I hit a bonus that used many stacked wilds yet still only paid £2! So be prepared for disappointment with some of the free spins features.

The Ninja Monkey slot looks very good and has clearly been made to make full use of Inspired’s new betting terminals. It’s fun to play, although I would highly recommend playing at no more than £2 a spin, so no Fortune Spins.
