- One of the better slots recently from Thunderkick
- Doesn’t offer massive payouts but still pays well
- Interesting concept with good use of mystery symbols
Raven’s Eye slot from Thunderkick focuses on Mystery symbols both in the base game and the Free Spins Bonus with some interesting features and the possibility of some decent payouts with the right high-value symbols. I have to admit that Thunderkick don’t always produce the best quality slots, but this one certainly has a good concept and could well be worth your time. It doesn’t look all that impressive, but I do like the theme and the graphics aren’t bad so so there’s not much to complain about here. You have 5 reels with 4 rows and these give you 30 paylines in total to use. It’s your job to spin the reels to get a winning combination along these to win some cash. You do this from left to right using the base symbols which are as follows, ranked in ascending order based on their value:
- 10, Jack or Queen (lowest value)
- King or Ace
- White Drop
- Blue Drop
- Green Drop
- Red Drop
- Woman (highest value)
In addition to these symbols, there’s a Wild symbol in Raven’s Eye slot which substitutes for all other symbols in a winning combination apart from the Raven Mystery Symbol.

Raven’s Eye Slot Bonuses and Features
Raven Mystery Symbol. This symbol works like any other mystery symbol in that all instances of it on the reels will turn into the same randomly selected symbol and it’s capable of providing some nice wins, especially when it transforms into a high value symbol like the Woman. However, it also serves a different function as it’s used to trigger the main Free Spins Bonus. You do this by landing the symbol on 3 or more reels.
Free Spins Bonus. Once triggered, the aim of the Bonus game is to collect Raven Orbs. In doing so, you will fill the symbol meters, and when these fill, that symbol becomes a Mystery symbol throughout the Bonus. In addition to this, you’ll also be given 3 additional free spins.
Conclusion
Thunderkick have made quite a simple slot with Raven’s Eye but it does have a few interesting things going for it. For a start, the Mystery symbol serves 2 functions. One, like any other Mystery symbol, is to transform into the same symbol type which can be pretty decent in the right combination with the right symbol chosen. But it also triggers the Free Spins Bonus which is interesting and not something I’ve seen before. The Bonus is all about turning symbols into Mystery symbols by filling that symbols meter, and this can work quite well but I would have liked to have seen a few more free spins to really take advantage of this. I have to say that the concept here is pretty nice and the game is capable of providing decent payouts, but it is a medium variance slot so for massive payouts you probably want to look elsewhere. In short, despite being a relatively simple game, it’s really not that bad and could probably be worth a go for many players. You can also see some of their other slots here.
