- A high variance slot with an underwater theme
- Multipliers can work well to offer big rewards
- A decent game but it doesn’t offer anything special
Push Gaming have just released a new slot by the name of Razor Shark and it has a slightly more unusual approach to giving you big payouts, and big payouts it can certainly give. It uses mystery symbols which we have, of course, seen before but combined with multipliers and good-paying symbols. Before we come onto that though, let’s look at the basics.
The design is a little bit basic but I like the underwater theme. It’s quite fun with good-looking symbols and a bit different from the norm. There are 5 reels here with 4 rows offering 20 paylines. You need to get a win from left to right using the base symbols. These are as follows, ranked in ascending order based on their value:
- Air Tank, Flippers, Mask or Helmet (lowest value)
- Hammer Shark
- Great White (highest value)
There’s a wild symbol too, the most valuable symbol in the game in fact, which substitutes for all other symbols in a winning combination apart from the scatter symbol.

Razor Shark Slot Bonuses and Features
Mystery Stacks. These come in stacks of 4 and can appear anywhere on the reels. When they land, the nudge and reveal feature is triggered. This will reveal all of the mystery symbols which can be either the base paying symbols or even the wild symbol.
Razor Reveal Feature. If the mystery symbols reveals wild symbols, this feature is triggered whereby each of the mystery symbols will spin and land on either bet multiplier coins or scatter symbols.
Free Spins Bonus. This is triggered with 3 scatter symbols appearing on the reels at the same time. This will fill the entire of reels 2 and 4 with mystery symbols. These can be used to increase your multiplier by 1x, starting at 1x initially. It ends when no more mystery symbols are left on the reels.
Razor Shark slot from Push Gaming tries to do something a bit different with the mystery symbols and I have to give them credit for that, but I’m just not sure it really works. You can certainly win some big payouts with good multipliers and it’s a high variance slot for sure, but I think there are more fun and better-put-together options out there. If you want to give it a go you might find it works for you, or you can find some of their other slots here if you want to check them out instead.
