Temple of Tut Slot
- Another new slot to use the Ancient Egyptian theme
- A couple of features mostly focusing on free spins
- Overall a fairly basic slot that doesn’t offer anything special
Temple of Tut slot is brought to you buy Just For The Win and is one of many themed slots that we’ve seen based on Ancient Egypt. Unlike the recently reviewed Book of Gods slot, however, Temple of Tut takes a different approach and is actually set in modern times and a group of archaeologists looking into the history of Tutankhamun. For those of you who haven’t heard of this famous pharaoh, he was the ruler during 1332-1323BC (a long time ago!) and his tomb was discovered by the late Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon in 1922. It has been the basis for many slots and for good reason I suppose, but perhaps it’s a bit overused now.
Unfortunately, Temple of Tut slot doesn’t really offer anything exciting in terms of it’s graphics or designs. It’s all pretty basic here and although it isn’t awful to look at by any means, it certainly doesn’t stand out in any way. Moving on to the gameplay then, we have your typical 5×3 layout with just 10 pay lines and a fairly decent RTP of 96%. The aim of the game is simple, to get a winning combination using the base symbols from left to right and win either a cash reward or a bonus leading to potentially greater rewards. The base symbols in the game are as follows, ranked in ascending order based on their value:
- Sarcophagus or Ankh (lowest value)
- Eagle or Eye
- Blue Man
- Green Man
- Red Woman (highest value)
There is also a Wild symbol, which as well as being the joint most valuable symbol in the game, also substitutes for any other base symbol in a winning combination, but is only available during the Super Reels feature.
Temple of Tut Slot Bonuses and Features
Super Reels. This is a feature which can be triggered at any point during the base game. It will turn between 1 and 5 reels into Super Reels. These Super Reels will display any of the base symbols as well as the Wild symbol for extra wins.
Free Spins Bonus. This bonus is triggered by 3 or more Temple of Tut Scatter symbols appearing anywhere on the reels during the base game. If 3 of these symbols appear then you will be awarded 8 free spins, 4 will give you 15 free spins while 5 will offer you the maximum 30 free spins. During these free spins, the Super Reels will be active. If 2 or more Temple of Tut symbols appear during the Free Spins Bonus you will be given the corresponding number of extra free spins:
- 2 Temple of Tut symbols – 2 extra free spins.
- 3 Temple of Tut symbols – 8 extra free spins.
- 4 Temple of Tut symbols – 15 extra free spins.
- 5 Temple of Tut symbols – 30 extra free spins.
That’s just about everything there is to know about Temple of Tut slot from Just For The Win. You can see that overall it’s pretty basic, from the simple design with fairly bland colours to the features themselves, there’s nothing particularly exciting here. The Free Spins Bonus is fairly decent and when combined with a pretty good RTP of 96% the machine can certainly pay out fairly well but there’s just nothing to really draw you in or keep you engaged, there aren’t even any huge wins available. So overall then, Temple of Tut slot doesn’t get anything inherently wrong but certainly doesn’t stand out in a crowd of slots that are starting to produce some incredible graphics, unique game features and offer big payouts.
