The Great Pigsby slot is quite clearly based on the popular movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio (at least that’s the latest version of the movie), The Great Gatsby. Straight away, however, you’ll notice things are a little different as the main characters here are pigs. This is pretty funny and a nice way to make a slot stand out when themes these days are often so similar. The graphics are pretty impressive and the design is simple yet elegant so no complaints here.
The gameplay is mostly straightforward. You have a 5×3 set of reels with various glamourous symbols on them and 243 ways to win. Your job is to get some of these symbols in the right combination from left to right in order to get a cash prize or maybe a feature. These symbols are listed as follows, ranked in ascending order based on their value:

The Great Pigsby Slot Bonuses and Features
The Piggy Bank – Wild Collection Feature. While these are all the base symbols in the game, there is also a Wild symbol to help you get some extra wins. When this lands, it will actually fill the entire reels to become a stacked Wild and will then be collected into the piggy bank. It substitutes for all other symbols in a winning combination but doesn’t provide any value itself, unlike some slots. Every Wild you collect gives you a chance of triggering the Free Spins Bonus with 10 free spins or a single Wild Reels Respin.
Wild Reels Respins. This is just a simple feature whereby 2-4 of the reels will become Wild before the other reels or reel stops. All reels apart from reel 1 can become Wild. Despite being a simple feature, it can generate a lot of wins if enough reels turn Wild.
Free Spins Bonus. As already mentioned, this is triggered by collecting Wild symbols and will give you 10 free spins. Interestingly, every second spin turns one low value symbols (the symbols up to and including the Ace) will turn into a mystery symbol which will then become any of the higher value symbols. What’s good about this is that it’s cumulative so that for the last 2 free spins you won’t have any low value symbols on the reels.
Great Pigsby Spin. This is a special type of spin that can be triggered at any point during the game. It works by simply placing a number of Pigsby symbols (the most valuable symbol in the game) across the reels before they stop, hopefully giving you some higher payouts.
Conclusion
The Greatest Pigsby slot from Relax Gaming is an interesting one to say the least. The theme is very noticeable and unusual but I can sort of see where they’re coming from. I don’t personally like it, but it’s unique and the graphics aren’t that bad. Unfortunately, I’m not a big fan of the features available here as a whole. The Wild Piggy Bank feature isn’t bad and could potentially land you some nice wins with lots of Wilds, but the rest are mediocre at best. The Free Spins Bonus is OK but we’ve seen a lot better and the Great Pigsby Spin isn’t that great either. The slot just feels like it’s missing a big bonus that’s something to really aim for. This is often the Free Spins Bonus but this one just doesn’t feel good enough. The value of the symbols could also be improved because even getting the higher paying ones through free spins doesn’t mean much.
