Top Cat Slot Machine
- A feature packed slot machine from Blueprint Gaming
- Over ten bonus games awarded randomly and via scatter bonus symbols
- Based on the popular TV cartoon, with the same characters and sound effects
Everyone loved Top Cat back in the day, so it’s no surprise that Blueprint Gaming has decided to bring the Top Cat slot machine into the gambling industry as an exciting new slot. With all the famous characters from the TV making an appearance, the Top Cat slot machine certainly promises to be a lot of fun.
Top Cat is a five reel slot machine with two fixed pay lines and three rows. The minimum bet is just 20p, but goes all the way up to a whopping £500 if you’re looking to gamble some serious cash, with an RTP of 92.493%. But the best part of the Top Cat slot machine is the plethora of bonuses available, so let’s take a look at those.
The main bonus in this game is called ‘The Master Plan’, and is activated by landing the bonus scatter symbol anywhere in reels 1, 3 or 5. From this, you have the option to choose a variety of bonuses in the form of different plans.
Top Cat Slot Machine Bonuses
The Top Cat slot machine is packed full of bonuses, some randomly awarded during the base game, much like the Centurion Free Spins slot, others with scatter symbols. The Top Cat slot bonuses are as follows:
The Maharajah Heist Bonus Plan
This secondary bonus is split into two stages, and is based on the Maharaja Heist. The first stage requires you to advance up the side of the hotel. This means choosing a character from the gang to advance, increasing your multiplier. You can advance between 1 and 5 steps, or you may end up choosing collect in which case the round is over. If you’re fortunate enough to reach the second stage, you’ll see a board featuring the gang and Officer Dibble. Here you must roll a red die to collect the multipliers, and a blue die is rolled to move Office Dibble. If dibble catches you, the winnings are collected as a multiplier of the total bet.
Diner Free Spins Bonus Plan
Here the gang are seated at a diner. With each spin, once a special scatter symbol appears on reel 5, you progress up a ladder on the right hand side based on the number on the symbol, and a ticket falls down. This continues until all tickets have fallen down and you collect your multiplier.
Dibble’s Free Spins Bonus
This bonus round activates an extra wild symbol which can feature on all 5 reels. When it comes into view, it substitutes a normal wild symbol, and from every spin after it actually moves around the reels to a new position. When two wild symbols are on the same position, this symbol covers the entire reel. The process continues until all free spins have been used up and your accumulated winnings are paid out. It’s worth noting that you cannot reactivate this bonus while the bonus is being played out.
Construction Site Wild Bonus
As you might have guessed, this bonus is featured at a construction site. When you start off you’ll see that the fifth reel set is full of wilds, and the screen will pan down to reveal the other 4 sets, with less wilds on each. Starting on the bottom reel set, the goal is to collect top cat stickers which you can see over the symbols by playing out your free spins. Once enough have been collected, you move further up the reel sets and more spins are awarded. This continues until all spins have been used up and you can collect your winnings.
There are also many other smaller bonuses available throughout the game, and these are:
Call or Nothing
Top Cat can appear from the trash can and trigger the Call or Nothing bonus, whereby he will speak to his gang and provide 4 separate bonuses:
Choo’s Piano Wilds
While the reels spin, Choo will walk onto the screen before a piano drops onto his head, causing stars to float onto the reels and transform symbols into wild symbols.
Brain’s Water Wilds
In this feature, Brain appears next to a reel with a fire hydrant, with a chance of turning the reel wild. The bonus is over once Brain has gone through all 5 reels.
Spook’s Mice As Nice
Top Cat appears from the trash can blowing his whistle, releasing mice next to each wheel creating a winning spin. If the whistle is blown again, this repeats creating another winning spin. The bonus is over once Office Dibble appears, and you collect your winnings from the winning spins.
Benny’s Colossal TV’s
This time Benny appears bringing with him a number of TV’s to be added to the reels. When Benny presses the remote, the reels stop, making every TV reveal a mystery symbol.
The Cash Picker Bonus Plan
Here a garbage truck will start to drop trash cans out of the back, from which you have to collect one of them to reveal a multiplier. Keep going until Officer Dibble comes out with a collect sign, meaning you collect your winnings up to that point.
Fancy Fancy’s Hot Dog
On the 5th reel there is a special hot dog wild covering three reel positions. If it lands in view on reel 5, the respin bonus is triggered. The hot dog vendor appears with his cart placed on reel 5. As the reels spin, Fancy Fancy will cast a fishing line and move the card at wild 1 reel to the left, continuing until the hot dog has moved to the first reel with a respin, after which the vendor reclaims his cart.
Jackpot King Feature
As with all Blueprint games, the Top Cat slot machine also includes the Jackpot King feature, giving you an opportunity to win a progressive jackpot if 5 golden crown symbols appear on the reels.
Clearly a lot of thought has been put into the Top Cat slot machine to make it as exciting as possible. There are a bunch of features available throughout the game to hold your interest and provide some big bonuses. The only real drawback is the low RTP at just 92.493%. This is disappointing to see, and I’d recommend trying this game out before committing large amounts of money to it.
