Tut’s Twister Slot
- Another slot that bases its theme on Ancient Egypt
- Several features which are pretty unique and can offer good rewards
- Nice graphics, good animations and solid gameplay make this is a well-rounded slot
Tut’s Twister is another slot to base itself on the ever popular Ancient Egyptian theme. We’ve seen this used in a bunch of slots for many years, including the more recently released Temple of Tut slot. As I’ve said before, I can understand why the theme works well but surely it’s all becoming a bit too much now? There are plenty of other great periods in time that I think would work very well, what about a Genghis Khantheme, or Victorian times theme. The list is endless really.
Anyway, moving on to some of the more important aspects of Tut’s Twister slot, first let’s start with the graphics and display. Overall it’s well detailed and pleasant to look at so there are no complaints in that department. When it comes to the sound it’s a fairly simple, soothing tune in the background that doesn’t get annoying after a while like some do. When it comes to the gameplay everything’s fairly standard here. This is a 5×4 layout with 25 pay lines, but a very high 97.1% RTP. This is much higher than a lot of slots we usually see and that statistic on its own certainly makes the game seem interesting. To play the game you must get a winning combination using the base symbols from left to right in order to win cash prizes or bonuses which I’ll come onto shortly. These base symbols are listed as follows, ranked in ascending order based on their value:
- Diamonds (lowest value)
- Gold (highest value)
There is also a Wild symbol that’s represented by a sarcophagus and substitutes for all other symbols in a winning combination.
Tut’s Twister Slot Bonuses and Features
Tut’s Twister Feature. If 2 or more Wild symbols land anywhere on the screen then this feature is triggered. Tut’s Twister gives you respins with walking Wilds and increasing multipliers. The leftmost reel with a Wild will turn into a twister which is essentially turning the whole reel Wild for extra wins. All the Wild symbols will walk towards the twister until they are sucked in and the reels will continue to respin until all the Wilds have been sucked up by the twister. Additionally, once the twister is activated then every 3 Wild symbols will increase the multiplier by 1x.
Last Chance and Final Spin. If there are no Wilds left on the screen, 1 extra respin is awarded giving you a final chance to land a walking Wild. If no Wilds land on a last chance spin, the Twister will then scatter all the Wilds it previously accumulated onto the screen giving you a final payout with the multiplier you accumulated. Overall this feature has a good, unique design that can offer some pretty decent wins.
Mystery Feature. If you land just 1 Wild during the base game in any position then you will have a chance to win one of the following prizes:
- 1 Hieroglyph
- 1 extra Wild and Tut’s Twister
- Between 25 and 2,500 coins
Twister Collection Feature. Each reel has between 3-5 hieroglyphs associated to it which can be seen just above the reels. Filling a collection of these will trigger Tut’s Twister on that particular reel. This reel will award 1 extra Wild for each of the collected hieroglyphs.
That’s it all for the features Tut’s Twister slot has to offer. I have to say I’m quite impressed with the overall gameplay from Yggdrasil because I think it offers something pretty unique, something we don’t see in enough slots these days. The Tut’s Twister Bonus can give you some pretty nice wins, although don’t expect anything crazy, while the Hieroglyphs feature is a nice addition just to mix fix things up. It’s a shame about the theme as the rest of the game is pretty unique, but I know a lot of people still enjoy the Ancient Egypt design so I doubt it will bother too many of you. Overall, a pretty solid game with a very high RTP that’s definitely worth checking out.
