Wild Chase slot is a new, fast-paced video slot from Quickspin, a relatively small but up-and-coming software developer who are looking to join the major league players. I have to say that my initial impressions are good. They’ve used a theme here that I’m sure draws inspiration from the Fast and Furiousmovie franchise, but that’s certainly not a bad thing. There’s glamour, riches, sexy women and a beautiful setting.
The graphics are pretty good in Wild Chase slot too, although certainly not as striking as the likes of other slows we’ve seen recently such as Jumanji slot. That being said, it’s a very admirable effort for a small company such as this and by no means disappoints. The layout is fairly simple and everything is clear and well-presented, although some extra detail would have been nice to really bring the game to life. Moving on to the gameplay, we have a simple 5×3 layout here with 25 pay lines and a healthy 96.77% RTP. To play the game you must spin the reels and try and get a winning combination using the base symbols from left to right. Wild Chase Slot Bonuses and Features
Respin Feature. We’ve seen this feature a few times in different slots but it’s nice to see here too. Any winning combination will trigger the feature, whereby all symbols that form the combination will lock in place and the rest of the symbols will respin. Any symbols that add to the winning pay line will lock in place as well and the reels will spin once more. The feature is over when there are no more winning combinations and then the total won is paid out. It’s worth noting that the scatter symbol does not trigger any respins.
Multiplier Wild Feature. The Wild Chase slot features a Multiplier Wild symbol which, when part of a winning combination, awards a multiplier to all of the wins in that round. The multiplier figure depends on how many symbols that appear on the screen:
- 1 Multiplier Wild symbol provides a 2x multiplier.
- 2 Multiplier Wild symbol provides a 3x multiplier.
- 3 Multiplier Wild symbol provides a 4x multiplier.
- 4 Multiplier Wild symbol provides a 5x multiplier.
As well as offering a multiplier, the symbol also substitutes for all other symbols in a winning combination apart from the Scatter symbol.
Free Spins Bonus. This is the main bonus in the game and is triggered by 3 or more Bonus Scatter symbols appearing anywhere on the reels. The bonus awards 10 free spins which unfortunately holds true even when more than 3 symbols appear which I think is a bit stingy but not a deal-breaker. You can see how many symbols appear at the top right of the screen which seems a bit pointless but nevermind. What is nice to see here is that every free spin is guaranteed to feature at least 1 Multiplier Wild symbol so increases your chances of getting a winning combination and multiplying your winnings, but remember it does need to be part of the combination to provide a multiplier effect.
Conclusion
Wild Chase slot is a very solid offering from a small and relatively new company like Quickspin. Considering they don’t have the resources or experience of the bigger players out there like Netent or SG Gaming, they’ve produced a slot that covers all of the essential points well. The design is very nice; while it might not be ground-breaking is definitely holds its own even for today’s standards. There’s nothing particularly special about the gameplay but the features are good and the Free Spins Bonus can be fairly rewarding with that extra Multiplier Wild symbol always being available, but this is a fairly low variance slot so don’t expect any massive wins. In all then, an impressive slot that I think deserves a look and should appeal to quite a wide audience.
