Loony Blox
Loony Blox is clearly heavily inspired by the Loony Tunes cartoons, and some might even accuse Habanero of ripping this classic series off. Copyright lawsuits aside, this slot looks absolutely sublime, and the cartoon characters include an elephant, a skateboarding rabbit, and a wolf, spinning on a 5×3 grid. The two main features are the map game, where the 3 characters chase each other around a desert landscape, and the free spins, which are triggered within the map feature. You receive 12 of these free spins, and although Loony Blox has a maximum payout of just 1000x, the slot does come with an almost unprecedented RTP of 98.02%. High rollers may well give Loony Blox a wide berth, but the rest of us will love the frequent wins and entertaining gameplay.
Desert Shark
Fantasma’s Desert Shark does a decent job of combining the worlds of deserts….and sharks. It’s best not to get too hung up on this odd thematic clash, and focus instead on the slot play, which is dominated by wilds and multipliers, which can bring you impressive wins, even in the base game. This new title from Push Gaming looks simple on the surface, starting off with just 4 reels and 3 rows. However, Joker Troupe packs a punch in the gameplay. The main wins are found in the 3 bonus features, the red, green and blue Joker games. Our favourite was the Green joker wheel game with up to 25x multipliers. Despite a maximum payout of over 25,000x, Joker Troupe also has a generous RTP of 96.68% and slightly lower variance than is typically the case with a Push Gaming slot, so it can still appeal to recreational slot fans. What’s more, Joker Troupe slot is beautifully designed and has a stunning colour scheme.
Sweet Success Megaways
Blueprint’s Sweet Success classic is the latest slot to be given the Megaways treatment. The bright, vibrant colours of the original remain, but this time we see a six-reel grid with up to 7 rows, and 117,649 ways to win. Rabcat’s Treasure Heroes is an adventure slot set in a medieval dungeon, where our boy and girl hero characters take on a creepy skeleton for a share of the hidden treasure. Relax Gaming has done another smashing job incorporating the mining theme of TNT Tumble slot into the gameplay. The grid has 7 rows, but we only start off using 4 of them – you will need to drill and blast your way to the lowest 3 levels. To do this, we must form winning paylines, which then leads to new rows of symbols tumbling down and activating those hidden rows. All very clever, as is the wild drill stacking symbol, as 7 of them stacked together will net you 50x your stake. The bonus round comes with 3 levels of volatility to choose from, with medium, high and very high being the options. TNT Tumble is another entertaining title from Relax Gaming which should gain much appeal from across the slot community.
Wish Upon a Jackpot Megaways
Wish Upon a Jackpot is the second Blueprint title to be reimagined as a megaways slot this month. Similar to the 2013 original, this slot crams as many fairy tales into one game as possible, including the Fairy Godmother, Jack and the Beanstalk and the Three Little Pigs. This time, the six reels offer 117,649 ways to win and some rather fun features, the best of which is the Fairy Godmother free spins. As is usually the case with a Blueprint Megaways slot, these come with unlimited free spins, but the magic orb modifier at the start gives players a degree of control. Romeo and Juliet Sealed With a Kiss
The romance of the Shakespearean classic Romeo and Juliet is perfectly captured in this Greentube slot, which has the look and feel of a big-budget CGI movie. Once more, we see developers putting a lot of thought and planning into each slot release, although Blueprint does seem hell-bent on converting all their classics into megaways titles. It’s nice to see some lower volatility slots, especially the excellent Loony Blox.
