- Based on the legend of King Arthur and Merlin
- Turn regular symbols into more valuable wild symbols
- An interesting idea but could be executed better
Arthur’s Fortune is based on the legendary King Arthur and this slot intends to take you back in time to those magical, medieval days in the hopes of landing you some substantial wins. I have to say that even though this is by no means a bad looking slot, it’s not the best I’ve seen from Yggdrasil, nor the most original. There are 5 reels here with 3 rows to give you 20 paylines. You need a win from left to right using the base symbols which are as follows, ranked in ascending order based on their value:
- 10 or Jack (lowest value)
- Green Man
- Blue Man
- King (highest value)
There are 2 other symbols in the game also; a scatter wild and golden wilds. There are more valuable than the base symbols and I will explain what they do shortly.

Arthur’s Fortune Slot Bonuses and Features
Golden Wilds. Golden wilds are golden versions of the regular symbols, substituting for base symbols in a winning combination while also being more valuable on their own. Up to 10 symbols can turn into wilds in any base game spin.
Free Spins Bonus. This is triggered by landing 3 or more scatter wild symbols anywhere on the reels. 3 of these will give you 7 free spins with 1 symbols to wild conversion, 4 will give you 10 free spins with 2 symbol to wild conversions, and 5 will give you 14 with 3 symbol to wild conversions. You can retrigger the bonus by landing 2 or more scatter wilds in the game. More interestingly though, you can get up to another 4 additional symbol to wild conversions by landing up to 5 more scatters during the bonus. All wild conversions last the entire bonus.
Merlin’s Bonus. If you land the bonus symbol, shown as an orb, on the last reel you can win some extra rewards. In the base game it can give a cash prize and 7-14 free spins with 1-3 wild conversions, and during the bonus it can give a larger prize with 1-14 additional free spins.
Arthur’s Fortune slot from Yggdrasil is a slightly interesting one from them. The standard slot mechanics are all there; a fairly standard theme with some base game features and a free spins bonus, but the wild conversions certainly make things interesting and help this slot to stand out. I like the idea of it, and it can be refreshing to see something that isn’t so reliant on multipliers (although don’t get me wrong, I do love multipliers). I’m just not sure if it works that well which is a shame. Payouts could be a bit better in my opinion, but the idea is great and I hope to see a bit more like this from Yggdrasil or other developers even. You can see more of their slots here also.
