Wildchemy slot is a new game that’s pretty low variance meaning it offers smaller payouts in general, but they tend to be more frequent because of that. If that’s something you’re not into then maybe skip this one, but if it is then you should definitely read on because, spoiler alert, this is a great slot.
Let’s start off with that gorgeous design first. The graphics are brilliant, but most impressive is the level of detail in both the background and the reels. The fun theme of science and robots works really well and I just think the slot looks great overall. You have a 5×5 set of reels here, and unlike many other slots, wins are obtained through vertically or horizontally matches only, so there are no paylines. I think this is a nice change from the norm. The base symbols that will give you your rewards are as follows, ranked in ascending order as follows:

Wildchemy Slot Bonuses and Features
Magic Portals. You’ll notice that at the top left and bottom right of the reels there are portals. These are important because, if the 2 symbols in the portals match, them and all other symbols of that type will turn into Wild symbols, with wins then evaluated. If you’re wondering what happens if Wild symbols appear in the portals, unfortunately nothing happens. There’s no transformation. Symbols in the portals will explode before they cascade, whether they form a win or not.
Free Spins Bonus. As with almost every slot these days, there’s a Free Spins Bonus, and this one is also triggered by Scatter symbols, although in a slightly more original way. Scatter symbols, shown as a pink potion, are collected during a full sequence of cascades, in other words in a single spin. If you manage to collect 4 of them or more, you’ll trigger the Free Spins Bonus. For every additional Scatter symbol, you’ll get another 4 free spins. The Scatter symbols are special though, because they’ll explode including a plus are around it, generating more cascades. So what happens during these free spins, or is that it? Of course not! Another portal will be placed in the top right hand corner of the reels. Just as before, it’s used to turn additional symbols Wild by matching, but you still only need 2 matching symbols so you have a better chance of triggering the feature. If that wasn’t enough, all wins during the Bonus are doubles. You can’t win anymore free spins though as Scatter symbols are not available in the Bonus.
Conclusion
Wildchemy slot is another impressive game from Relax Gaming. It has a lot going for it. First, there’s the design which really is stunning. The graphics are great and I love the detail. It’s original too, both in how it looks and plays. The portals are a great idea and trigger Wilds fairly often. The Free Spins Bonus plays on that also, increasing the chances of that happening by adding another portal. I think the game’s a lot of fun, different and actually pays pretty well overall. My main issue is that it’s a low to medium variance slot, with only 500x your bet up for grabs in total on a single spin. It’s not very high and I do think that will put quite a few people off but for those who prefer lower variance slots, this is one of the best I’ve seen in a while.
