New William Hill Betting Terminal
- The Flex 4k uses an impressive 43″ 4k ultra high definition curved monitor
- Gaming flows seamlessly across the screen without a dividing line in the middle
- The Flex 4k comes with a USB port for mobile charging, as well as custom made games designed to take full advantage of the latest technology
The new William Hill betting terminals have started to be rolled out across the UK, with William Hill betting shops having a long overdue upgrade from their older Eclipse cabinet fixed odds betting terminals (FOBTs), to the new, and very impressive Flex 4k cabinets. Both have been created by Inspired Gaming, with the Flex 4k just a natural upgrade from the 5 year old Eclipse FOBTs which have been prone the freezing during games due to the older processors and the shear number and complexity of the games on the betting terminals.
The new Flex 4k betting terminals boast an amazing 43” curved screen, with a 4k viewing experience. This brings the new William Hill betting terminals to life with amazingly highly detailed graphics and smooth gameplay.
Many FOBT slots and roulette games are currently been upgraded to take advantage of the seamless screen. Although all of the original content is still available from the older betting terminals, new slots such as Ninja Monkey have been developed to take advantage of the increased viewing area and higher definition screens. Roulette games such as 88 Fortunes have also been redesigned to seamlessly fill the screen. Although the higher parts of the betting terminal are difficult to reach when sat down, especially with roulette games such as 88 Fortunes which is divided into four roulette wheels, with the higher two wheels a stretch away.
The Flex 4k Betting Terminal
Compared with the older Eclipse cabinet, the new William Hill betting terminal Flex 4k has some pretty impressive stats:
- 43” ultra high definition curved screen
- Frame lights which adjust according to the game in progress
- Big and bright buttons, including direct access to Fortune Spins where available
- USB port to enable phone and tablet charging whilst in play
- Double-support footrest for sitting and standing
The new William Hill betting terminal stands at a little over 2 metres tall and 61cms wide, this compares with the older Eclipse cabinet at 1.9 metres tall and 65cms wide.
Seeing and playing both cabinets side by side makes the original Eclipse FOBT feel very dated, with its dual 22” HD monitors and often stuttery gameplay on the newer, processor intensive slots.
Although the new William Hill betting terminals will be rolled out across the UK during 2018, it will be some time before we start seeing them in adult gaming centres (AGC’s), due to their high cost.
The new William Hill betting terminals are being released to coincide with the release of SG Gaming’s Equinox cabinets, which will be released across the Ladbrokes / Coral betting range, as well as Paddy Power.
