- An interesting slot from developer PlayNGo
- Build up jackpots up to 1,500x
- A bit higher energy but not too exciting
Spinnin’ Records: Into the Beat is a high-energy, neon-drenched slot from Play’N’Go that takes a familiar formula and throws it onto the dance floor. It’s essentially a rework of their earlier title, Stepping Diamonds — but this time with club lights, pounding beats, and a rave crowd grooving in what looks like a futuristic Times Square.
Behind the visuals, it’s a 5-reel, 3-row slot with 20 paylines and medium volatility. You can spin from as little as 10p, and the RTP maxes out at 96.2% — though there are lower versions floating around depending on where you play. The max win is 4,000x your stake. Symbols include the usual J–A card ranks and four music-themed characters: a woman, a man, a robot, and a monkey. Premium symbols pay up to 50x for 5 of a kind, while wilds do their usual thing, substituting for all symbols except Records and paying the same as the top premium.
Spinnin’ Records: Into The Beat Slot Bonuses and Features
Step Up. Each spin comes with a Step Up number (1–5) shown above the reels. If a Record symbol lands, this number is added to its value — and all visible Records level up before paying out. They start at just 0.5x but can increase to 35x with enough steps.
Lock ’N Spin. Land 6 or more Record symbols in the base game to trigger Lock ’N Spin, a classic hold-and-respin bonus:
- 6 Records = 5×3 grid
- 7 Records = 5×4 grid
- 8 Records = 5×5 grid
You get 3 respins to start with, and any new Records reset the count. Record values can still be stepped up during the feature, and if you manage to fill the grid, all visible Record values get boosted 5 times in a row for a serious payout boost.
Cash Pot Records. These special Record symbols can appear during Lock ’N Spin and come with their own payout ladders:
- Mini – starts at 20x, goes up to 90x
- Minor – starts at 50x, up to 200x
- Major – starts at 100x, up to 350x
- Grand – starts at 500x, up to 1,500x
These too can be increased with Step Ups.
Conclusion
Spinnin’ Records: Into the Beat slot from PlayNGo is a definite upgrade on the visual and audio side — it looks great and the club anthem soundtrack is fun. Gameplay-wise though, this is very much a remix of a track we’ve heard before. The Step Up and Lock ’N Spin features are okay but not exactly groundbreaking, and even the Cash Pot prizes feel a bit tame unless you manage to hit those top upgrades. If you liked the original or just want something with more energy, it’s worth checking out. For other games from PlayNGo, read our review on Crystal Hall slot here.
