- A simple slot from PlayNGo with a samurai theme
- Respin feature allows you to collect gold coins
- Lack of original features is quite disappointing
Whispering Winds slot comes from PlayNGo and it’s relatively low volatility compared to most games from this developer with a win potential of just 2,000x your stake. This comes from the respin feature which is the main focus of the slot, but this will be discussed in more detail later on. The design is familiar PlayNGo which is a good thing, with high quality visuals and graphics and a nice samurai theme. It plays out on a 5×3 grid with a total of 25 paylines. The maximum RTP on offer is just above average at 96.23%, but can be much lower depending where you play. To get a win, just spin the reels and try to get a winning combination from left to right using any of the following base symbols which are ranked in ascending order based on their value:
- Jack, Queen, King or Ace
- Mirror
- Jewel
- Sword
- Armour
Whispering Winds Slot Bonuses and Features
Wild Symbol. This will substitute for all other symbols in a winning combination apart from the scatter and gold coin symbol, just like it does in most other slots.
Gold Respins. This is triggered when you land 6 gold coin symbols, giving you 3 respins. The gold symbols are themselves carried over to the respin feature and locked in place and now only blank and gold coin symbols can land. When gold coins land, they will lock in place too and the number of respins resets back to 3. Gold coins have cash values ranging anywhere from 1x up to the maximum 1,000x. The feature ends when all respins have been used up, or you fill the entire grid with gold coins. If this happens, you’ll receive a 1,000x payout in addition to the total value of all gold coins on the screen, giving you a total win potential up to 2,000x.
Conclusion
Whispering Winds slot from PlayNGo is definitely one of their more basic games when it comes to features and whilst low-medium variance slots are usually a bit simpler, I do think this one would have benefited from at least one extra feature or by making the respins feature more engaging. It’s very similar to other games already out there, just land cash coins to get the total value shown at the end of the bonus. Without any base game features, it’s really not that fun to play for long and there are far better alternatives out there. Perhaps it’s just me, but this slot just isn’t exciting enough to recommend in my opinion. You can always try Spark of Genius slot from PlayNGo instead which is a lot more fun and rewarding.
